FAQ's

Got questions about your Record Day? Here're some answers, from how to find your Number 1, to your order upgrade and even a cooling off period!

The Product

The Number 1 single from the date you choose, originally recreated, in a handmade frame, Or two dates in a double frame, side by side.

Every order includes a QR code matched with a Record Days page with your personal message as well as details about the songs and the events at that time.

Great question. Charts are published weekly - so your song is whichever track was number one for that dates chart week. UK Charts began in November 1952. So long as your date falls after that, you're good.

And if the date isn't so important... choose a single from the Record Days Archive. These are collectible singles - not necessarily chart-toppers - but may have just the right connection for you.

Yes, and no! To turn your order around quickly, standard order singles are recreations. They're real 7" vinyls relabelled with the correct match for your tracks. It'll look the part!

Also, the frame itself is sealed at the back, as any professional picture frame. And lots of glue is used to ensure it all skicks together... for a long time!

So... it's made for the wall rather than the turntable.

You sure can. We scour eBay, Discogs, and other marketplaces to track down a genuine original pressing, then get it framed and ready for you. You can upgrade your order to Record Days Originals in the configurator.

Originals are vintage, so expect some character: scuffs, label wear, even the odd doodle from a previous owner. That's part of what makes it the real deal.

Allow more time!! Because we're sourcing each single individually, turnaround will be way longer. Allow 4 weeks on top of the usual delivery time.

If you're looking for the absolutley authentic... you might find something in the Record Days Archive. They're all original pressings.

Delivery & Returns

Yep. We ship to Ireland, UK and mainland Europe. Delivery charges and times vary by country, and you will be able to select your country at checkout. Frames and assembled in our studio in Ireland.

Under EU consumer law, you'd normally have a 14-day cooling-off period (the Right of Withdrawal) to return an order, provided it's in a fully resaleable condition. However, because every Record Days piece is a custom build made specifically for your date and chart selection, it falls under the personalised/bespoke goods exemption, which generally isn't covered by that 14-day right.

If your order arrives damaged in transit, that's a different matter entirely and we'll sort it out. And of course if you're unhappy for any reason, get in touch and we'll see if we can sort it out.

We ship from our studio in Ireland. As such, all deliveries on the Island of Ireland and to the EU are duty-free, and VAT paid.

Shipments to the UK will have sone tax due on delivery, which is the responsibility of the recipient. You need to think about this if shipping directly as a gift! In time, we will be collecting those duties at checkout.
